What events can cause a
court to drop a case for
Aggravated Robbery?

it is hard to tell from your question what stage of the proceedings your cousin is in. i assume he has been formally charged and is awaiting a hearing or trial. obviously, the more evidence the police can amass, the better their case will be in court.

your cousin obviously needs a criminal defense attorney. this is your best negotiating tool for getting the offense thrown out of court. an attorney can bypass the "lying" cops and ask the prosecutor to turn over all relevant evidence through discovery. this will give the attorney an indication of how much real evidence exists. if none, the attorney can motion the court for a dismissal based on the lack of evidence.

other than that, you need a confession from someone else, new evidence that someone else did it, or an impenetrable alibi.

lack of evidence against the accused???
the only thing i can think of is a blundered investigation pretty much not gonna happen though
maybe they found no one was aggravated by the robbery
I don't think that a case could actually be dropped.A verdict must be reached.
