I am personally not insulted by 'beauty contests'. Why should beauty be a bad thing? I see those women and honestly I think WOW... I would love to have perfect white teeth, or hey thats a really neat hairstyle... maybe I should try it. I am confident in who I am as a woman so I do not view beauty contests as threatening or offensive. They would not be my cup of tea to participate in... I am scared of large crowds and bikinis!! But for those women who do participate... more power to them!

Yes, the only person that has to be happy with the way you look is yourself.Other people who can't deal with it, need to just get over it and accept life as it is.
On da contrary, they celebrate women hood!

Do u realize dat da contestants dun win only because of their physical appearance..it's also because of their mental capacities and presence of mind.Also their other skills are also taken into consideration.Before the main show day of a beauty pageant,u will see that da contestants are required to display their other talents n all too.

If it were only for the looks..Sushmita would have never won Miss India n Aishwaria first runner up cause it was quite evident who was more beautiful,n also who was smarter.Sush won because of her brains,charm n charisma..N made ash be second best.
ofcourse. it's not necessary to show ur beauty to whole world.
